My 5 * #bookreview for EDGE OF THE WORLD & DANIEL’S EROTICA by Zeece Lugo

EDGE OF THE WORLD: A Daniel’s Fork Short Story by Zeece Lugo

BLURB:

Trapped in a ditch, his beloved Jonas wounded at his side, surrounded by vicious wilders intent on death and destruction, things are not looking well for ranger William Evers. His one hope, that help will be brought by Gabby, the third member of the group, hinges on the possibility that she made it out of the ambush alive. Will refuses to think about Gabby’s demise, a thought too painful to contemplate. Unwilling to accept defeat in the face of insurmountable odds, Will Evers braces for one final stance, a fight for life and love, one he intends to win!

In a future world devoid of technology, a world pristine and thriving, three friends and lovers roam the wilderness in search of a future none of them can foresee. Lovely, fierce, indomitable Gabrielle Toussant, grew up abandoned and orphan. Handsome, golden boy Jonas Walker, irreverent and homosexual, came from a privileged upbringing. Their leader, William Evers, born to the warrior class, is driven by the need to escape the pain of an unbearable personal loss. Join them as they battle to survive the wild lands of the east coast of North America, 200 years in the future!

WARNING: THIS STORY HAS SEXUAL AND VIOLENT CONTENT NOT SUITABLE FOR YOUNGER READERS. IT IS TARGETED TO AN ADULT AUDIENCE.

MY REVIEW:

I’ve really enjoyed the other books in this series, and you can read my reviews here for:  Daniel’s Fork and Strongheart’s Woman.

This short story tells us about William Evers, and it’s a nice prequel  to the Daniel’s Fork book.  The story adds a little more background to William and his friends, Gabby and Jonas.  They have a very unique relationship as they’re comrade-in-arms as well as friends and lovers.  I love the dystopia world that Zeece has built with this series, and I wish I lived there instead of our over-modernized society.  My only complaint about this book, I wish it were longer.

I highly recommend this story and can’t wait to read more.  In fact, I just downloaded book 2 of the Daniel’s Ford series.  I give this short, but wonderful tale, 5 feathers.

The above book was short, so I went ahead and read Daniel’s Erotica as well.    Smile

DANIEL’S EROTICA by Zeece Lugo

BLURB:

The future, backwater village may be sleepy, but its people are hot blooded and passionate. Feel the heat at Daniel’s Fork!

MY REVIEW:

This short book has some of the erotica excerpts from the other Daniel’s Fork books.  I’ve enjoyed all the books, so far, from this series, and I’m waiting for Zeece to add some more stories.  If you like these excerpts, you need to read the books that are referenced at the beginning of each chapter.

I give it my 5 feathers.

About Sahara Foley

Bio: Until my husband died on Christmas 2012, I never thought about becoming a writer. In fact, the act of writing a story terrified me. Don’t get me wrong, I loved reading, just never had the knack for writing. The thought of writing dialogue scared the bejeebers out of me. See, Bob was the writer. He wrote stories for years but could never get a traditional publisher interested enough to publish even one. Now I understand why, as they were unpolished outlines. Then, after 30 years together, Bob passed away and my life was turned upside down. About a month later, I was sitting around my apartment, trying to adjust to the worst event in my life, when a little voice spoke to me. Why not publish Bob’s stories? To be truthful, ever since the advent of self-publishing, I always wanted too, that’s how much I believed in his stories. But I knew I would have to fight him for every little change I made to his outlines. Sorry, honey, but they had to be done. So, I pulled out the box of stories, dusted them off, and started on a new adventure: The World of Self-Publishing. Boy, did I have a lot to learn. I finally published several short stories early in 2014, then my horror novella, It Lives in the Basement. While I was working on them, I was slowly learning the craft of writing, and getting The Secret of Excalibur ready for publication. Excalibur was my favorite story of them all, and in the back of my mind, I knew I wanted a publisher. One day on Twitter, I ran across a tweet from Creativia Publishing, and that was another game changer for me. I signed up with them in December of 2014, and it was the best decision I’ve made. One thing I’ve discovered on my new adventure, are all the really awesome and talented Indie Authors. If you find the right community of Indie Authors, all they want to do is help each other. I found that I love promoting them and their books, so that’s how I setup my blog. For readers to meet Indie Authors. Anyway, enough about me.
