With crime rampant, the President authorizes a hugely controversial program: TimeLock, a cellular acceleration process whereby select prisoners are instantly aged the total number of years of their sentence. In other words – three strikes and you’re old…very old.

A sci-fi-tinged action-adventure with heart and humor, TimeLock is the first in a new series of novellas set in the crime-ridden near future where a bold new technology transforms the justice system and challenges America’s moral compass. Only one problem—what happens if you’re innocent?

What Readers are saying about the series:

TimeLock is a high-octane action thriller with a classic feel, reminiscent of Michael Crichton or Tom Clancy. It’s familiar, but in all the right ways.

The central concept is brilliant . . . The novella is tightly paced, and there’s not a dull moment. . . .The introduction is particularly engaging, with an absolutely killer prologue that sucks you in right from the start. Reading TimeLock, I felt like I was watching a movie . . . It’s a crowd-pleasing blockbuster of a novella, with all the thrills you’d hope for, and a cracking start to a series.  – Read the full review

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Whoa!! Okay so this was awesome and I have to say first off- I hope like hell someone picks this up to make a movie or a show out of it!! This was a super interesting premise so I was hooked. It moved at a great pace and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.  -Book Blogger @gryffindorbookishnerd

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I vastly enjoyed this quick read . . .  The writing was keenly honed and smartly detailed  . . . In sum, was a well-plotted and shrewdly paced action-packed thriller featuring slightly frayed characters and storylines that were cleverly laced together with wry humor and witty snark.

My Amazon Vine Review of Quay – Womens Sunglasses

3 out of 5 Stars

I wanted to love them, but . . .

First off, I really like that the nose pieces are separate and not molded into the frame. That way they don’t slide down your nose all the time.

They are also stylish and come with a very nice leather-looking bag and a cleaning cloth.

However, for the price, they weren’t packaged very well. They weren’t even in a box to protect them during shipping.

Then, there are the arms. I’ve worn them for about 2 weeks and every time I do, my eyelashes on my left eye brush against the lens on that side. My right eye doesn’t do that. So, I have to keep adjusting my glasses, but they just won’t sit right on my face. Then I noticed the arms.

The left one extends perpendicular to the frame, but the right one doesn’t. I’ve tried to get the arm to extend out properly, but it just won’t and I’m afraid of breaking them. This is why they don’t fit well on my face. Maybe not all of the sunglasses were malformed, but mine is.

For the price, it’s best to be able to try them on before buying. I don’t recommend them.

Scare Thee Well Book Tour & Giveaway – 7/25 to 8/1

Meet Tansy Shackleton

She’s just the witch to finish what her ancestors started.

Scare Thee Well

Laurel Haven Witches Book 2

by ReGina Welling

Genre: Paranormal Women’s Fiction

Three hundred years ago, one witch had to live with her mistakes. Today, another might have to die for them.

Tansy Shackleton has spent her entire life carrying the guilt of her family’s legacy. If not for her ancestor’s mistake, good witches might not be trapped in the coastal town of Laurel Haven, Maine. But no matter how hard she tries to make amends, she can’t stop seeing the stain on her soul. Not even at the cost of her marriage.

Connor Shackleton has tried everything he can think of to get his wife to see that she’s not to blame for the unwitting actions of a long-dead witch. At his wit’s end and unable to watch Tansy work herself into the ground for something that wasn’t even her fault, he proposes they take a break for a few days, just to get some perspective.

He should have known Tansy would martyr both their happiness on the alter of guilt, but he didn’t. He wanted her back almost from the minute he walked away, but she’s shut him out of her life as firmly as the door she closed behind him.

The problem is, life and death in Laurel Haven go hand in hand for witches of the blood, and just like Tansy, Connor’s one of them. The only way to move forward is to turn and face the past head-on. Together with her new coven, Tansy will have to put all of Laurel Haven’s ghosts to rest or die trying.

Three hundred years ago, four witches went into the forest to cast a spell of protection against the evil creeping into their town but they were too late.

Things could not be worse, she thinks, until she meets the man next door and decides they could. Ry McFadden is the most infuriating man on the planet. The Detective Tom Robertson Series Book Tour & Giveaway – 7/18 to 8/18

Join Tom and his colleagues in the feel-good Detective Tom Robertson series, which combines police procedural crime fiction and murder mystery with compelling characters and a thread of humour.

Wrath of Revenge

Detective Tom Robertson Book 1

by A.G. Winkworth

Genre: Crime Thriller, Murder Mystery

Detective Sergeant Tom Robertson has left the comfort of rural Scotland for the Met.

He doesn’t need to be here. His business career earned him enough money to retire at thirty and spend his days playing golf. But he has chosen to challenge himself in a big city a long way from home. He thinks he might be able to make a difference. Not through arrogance, but perhaps a naïve belief that one police officer can change the lives of those in danger or trouble. He needs to test his own resolve, and prove he isn’t too gentle a soul for this sort of work.

Tom hasn’t found where he belongs yet. He knows his mission isn’t as a teacher, a doctor or a priest. Could it be here, in London, at Merran Road Police Station?

When a blast from the past rocks the present

The discovery of human bones in a wooded area by a golf course gives DS Tom Robertson his first case since moving to the Met. Who is the victim? Why was he buried there? And how much can Tom and his new DCI, John Walters, find out from their initial enquiries before they are off the case and the Murder Investigation Team take over?

Two further murders narrow down the search for the killer. MIT has a suspect with motive, means and opportunity. But Tom thinks they should be looking in a different direction. Can he close the case while staying out of danger?

Join Tom and his colleagues for Wrath of Revenge, the first full-length instalment in the feel-good Detective Tom Robertson series, combining police procedural crime fiction and murder mystery with compelling characters and a thread of humour.

Deadly Justice

Detective Tom Robertson Book 2

A punishment is not the end, merely the beginning.

When a young boy opens the boot of an abandoned car, he hasn’t just found one body, but lifted the lid on the chilling operation of a serial killer. And now his own family is in danger. DS Tom Robertson is drafted into the Murder Investigation Team and the evidence points one way, but is it the right way? For while the team follows the trail backwards to find previous victims, the killer is looking forwards. Can Tom hunt him down before he strikes again?

Detective Sergeant Tom Robertson has joined the Met, to challenge himself in a new environment and try to make a difference.

But someone else wants to make a difference too, and he’s playing from his own rulebook. One where the law and sanctity of life mean nothing.

Join Tom and his colleagues for Deadly Justice, the second full-length instalment in the feel-good Detective Tom Robertson series, combining police procedural crime fiction and murder mystery with compelling characters and a thread of humour.

Dangerous Reprisals

Detective Tom Robertson Book 3

There is blood on the streets

When a drug dealer is stabbed to death at the wheel of his car, a series of reprisals light the tinderbox of tensions on the Hessop Estate.

Will innocent victims get caught in the crossfire? Can MIT hunt down the killers and restore calm, or will gang warfare take over?

DS Tom Robertson’s career in the Met has started with a bang. Now he returns to the Hessop for the second time in a week. Can his knowledge of the local youngsters give him a crucial advantage in keeping them safe and bringing an end to the killing spree? But he has to be ready to adapt. For against this volatile backdrop, events take a different turn and the investigation uncovers other crimes linked to the serial killer who is already in custody.

Join Tom and his colleagues for Dangerous Reprisals, the third full-length instalment in the feel-good Detective Tom Robertson series, combining police procedural crime fiction and murder mystery with compelling characters and a thread of humour.

I have always loved reading crime fiction, from the novels of Agatha Christie and PD James, to Ian Rankin and Peter Lovesey, among many others. This genre has so many talented authors, a topic which I will explore more in my newsletters.

I started writing the Tom Robertson series in 2020, but quickly realised I had so much to learn about writing, crime, and then actually producing the book. I am indebted to all those who have helped me along the way.

The first book I wrote, Darkness to Light, has been reworked, and will probably be re-titled too, to become book 4 in this series. I also wrote books 5 and 6 as I honed my craft. I felt readers would benefit from Tom’s backstory, so I wrote Deadly Justice, now book 2, Murder at the Museum, and book 3, Dangerous Reprisals. Then I decided the series needed a new start, so I wrote the first book, Wrath of Revenge.

As a new independent author, I really feedback and support from you, the reader. I hope you enjoy the adventures of Tom and his colleagues and I continue to read as the series develops. Please contact me with your thoughts so far, and leave a review on Amazon.

Upheaval Book Tour & Giveaway – 7/24 to 8/7

Some secrets were never meant to be uncovered

Upheaval

The Divided States Series Book 1

by A.E. Faulkner

Genre: YA Dystopian Fantasy

The Divided States of America, 2121

A hundred years after the Great Infection Spread swept across countries and continents, barriers rose and borders closed. Nations isolated themselves in protective siloes as survivors faced starvation, disease and the daunting task of rebuilding. The United States was carved into three Territories, each ruled independently.

Today, the three Societal Order leaders ration everything – clothing, food, energy – because demand drowns supply. To conserve resources, citizens are declared either day dwellers or night dwellers, essentially limiting their existence to 12 hours each day.

Where you’re born is where you stay. Until now.

Everly Scott is preparing to graduate from her final year of schooling when she’s chosen to serve on an inter-Territory delegation. As one of twelve delegates, she will help assess and recommend updates to the Alliance Agreement, which outlines trade and peace relations between the Territories.

Everly embarks on the journey of a lifetime – crossing the Xone walls to learn about people and places that have always been well out of reach. It’s the greatest opportunity she’s ever had. And also the most dangerous one.

Secrets lurk within each Territory and Everly’s about to find out what happens to those who uncover them.

My Amazon Vine Review of Portable Outdoor Folding Chair with Cup Holder & Cooler Bag

5 Out Of 5 Stars

This chair might be a bit pricy, but it’s worth every cent.

It’s very sturdy. Cheaper chairs I’ve bought designed like this product felt weak underneath me. I always worried about the legs giving way. I don’t get that unease at all with this chair.

It’s also wide across so it fits my fat back end. Still, I don’t see how a 450lb person will fit into this chair very comfortably.

I’m also a taller person at 5’10” and this chair fits me just right. It has a higher back then most. Other chairs like this tend to have shorter legs and I always feel like I’m sitting in a child’s chair.

My only complaint is that you will sweat when it’s hot out. The seat itself is not breathable material, so you’ll end up with wet legs and shorts if you sit too long.

All in all, I love this chair and highly recommend it. You won’t want to share it with anyone else.
