With the start of a new year, I thought I’d change the focus of my monthly blog post about crystals. For 2024, I’ll be talking about the different crystals that correspond to that month. Kinda like gemstones for your birth month. Since Christmas is just around the corner, and such a stressful time of the year, I’ll kick off my new theme with crystals to use for the Holidays.
We all know, Christmas is a time for family and enjoying everyone’s company. But we also know old feelings emerge. Past hurts and resentments boil under the surface. So, here’s some crystals to help arm yourself against all that negativity, and hopefully, bring you happiness and cheer.

AMETHYST
A lot of crystal lovers swear by Amethyst. It’s a natural tranquilizer and will help you keep calm under pressure. You know? Like those stupid family jokes they tell each year about something stupid you did when you were a kid? Yep. Grip that Amethyst Palm Stone as hard as you can. Hopefully, they’ll move on to someone else. LOL.
Amethyst is also known as the ‘sobriety stone’, so if you over-indulge with holiday cheer, like too much to drink or eat, this crystal will supposedly help counteract the effects of your gluttony. It acts quickly to detoxify the bloodstream and helps your elimination organs like the liver, kidneys, and bladder.
If everyone is coming over to your house this year, and you’re fearful of the negativity, just place Amethyst clusters around your home to absorb disharmony and bring peace and serenity. Of course, if everyone has a really good time, they may want to come back next year. Hmmm. Something to think about. 😁😁
CITRINE
Citrine is my personal favorite crystal. The higher the quality the better. I melt over Citrine. Sigh.
Did you know that Citrine is also called the “The Sunshine Stone”? It helps bring joy and happiness around you and will put a smile on your face. It’s warm color and vibrant vitality will help you tolerate the assholes in your family, and also help you step out of that corner and stop being a wallflower. Yep, socialization, baby. Become the life of the party you always wanted to be. Don’t forget, Amethyst will help with that one-to-many glasses of wine that helped with your anit-wallflower gig.
But the best thing about Citrine is it’s a stone of abundance. So worried about overspending? Just carry a piece of this ‘Merchant Stone” in your purse or wallet and maybe, just maybe, you’re sensible side will kick in when you’re tempted to max out your credit card. And, hopefully, that abundance thing works the other way and you’ll get that dream vacation you always wanted. Woohoo!
ROSE QUARTZ
Rose Quartz is also called the “Stone of Universal Love.” So, if your least favorite uncle is going to be there, make sure you have some Rose Quartz on your person. It should open up your heart to be understanding, compassionate, and forgiving.
Just remember, don’t talk politics or religion. I don’t think a truck full of Rose Quartz can help then. Instead, drink more wine, keep your tongue in check, and pray that the Amethyst also helps with hangovers.
CLEAR QUARTZ
And then there’s Clear Quartz. One of the strongest and versatile stones on the planet.
Not only will it help boost your life-force energy, which you’ll solely need, it helps amply the effects of the other crystals you’ll be wearing to protect your sanity. Thank Goodness.
It will help you recharge and reset after the yearly ordeal is over. It will soothe those stomped on frayed nerves and also help with that stress-related headache starting to form behind your eye.
