I Am John Titor Book Tour & Giveaway – 1/7 to 2/7

In the world of internet legends, time traveler John Titor is the ultimate prize.

I Am John Titor

by Niamh Arthur & Sean Platt

Genre: Science Fiction, Time Travel

In the world of internet legends, time traveler John Titor is the ultimate prize.

Idealistic filmmaker Ramon Jimenez is stuck shooting mundane reality shows when he longs to create documentaries that change the world. But needing to keep food on the table has put his ambitions on hold…

Until Ramon spots a broken-down car linked to John Titor, an infamous internet legend who, at the turn of the century, claimed to be a time traveler from 2036. This could be the break he’s waiting for – if he can find a fresh angle.

RJ tracks down six different witnesses – each claiming to know “the real” John Titor.

But their stories don’t add up.

One says Titor was sent from the future to stop a world-ending war.

Another insists he was nothing more than a bored college kid creating an internet hoax to impress his frat brothers.

A third claims to have been set up to take the fall in an elaborate heist orchestrated by Titor in 1970s New York.

As RJ dives deeper, the lines between fact and fiction blur. Who was John Titor? Was he really from the future, or just a cleverly spun hoax? The closer RJ gets to the truth, the higher the stakes become.

I Am John Titor is a time-traveling epic that jumps between decades, genres, and timelines as RJ tries to solve the mystery of the true legend of John Titor.

#SaharasMusings – Why I’m For and Against The Banning of Tik Tok

Coffin Dance For Tiktok Tiktok GIF - Coffin Dance For Tiktok Tiktok Gif - Discover & Share GIFs

Tik Tok, as a social media platform, has been a hot button topic for many years.  Since it’s partially owned by the Chinese government, there are national security concerns.  Then, Biden’s administration, to make themselves look good, did an 11th hour ban of Tik Tok starting last night.

They are also doing this with cigarettes.

Sorry, but these last minute efforts to look like you really care about the American people just doesn’t work. We see through your mask.

Here are my reasons why I want and don’t want Tik Tok banned.

For The Ban

As stated above, the Chines Communist Party (CCP) partially owns the platform.  As such, they control all media uploaded to Tik Tok.  They also control the algorithms used by the platform to show you videos THEY want you to see.

Have you seen all the craziness on Tik Tok?  Since Tik Tok is considered a young person’s social media platform, the CCP can manipulate and push their Communistic agenda to our younger generation.  And it’s worked.

These brainwashed people sit on Tik Tok moaning and crying to each other and think that’s the world view.  But it’s not.  They ae a drop in the bucket, but when all they see is each other’s videos, they think they are the majority.  Nope, you aren’t.  You’re just screaming into an echo chamber. Get a clue.

But, not only are we allowing the CCP to control our younger generation, we’re giving them access to all our digital data.  We all know people use the same usernames and passwords across different sites.  So, yes, usernames, passwords, and even our credit card information are at risk.  This is a HUGE natural security concern.

Do you know how much money is spent on Tik Tok through all their livestreams?

As of November 2024, the Gross Merchandise Value spent on Tik Tok Shops was 11.09 billon dollars.  What the hell?   😲😲

And of that 11.09 billon dollars, 5% of all that money goes to fees.  That means approximately $550,000,000 is paid in fees to Tik Tok Shop.  And since the CCP partially owns the platform, how much of OUR hard earned money ae we willy-nilly handing over to China?  Why are we funding our worst enemy?  Why are we supporting their Communist agenda?

Against The Ban

But it’s because of those Tik Tok livestreams that I’m still for the platform.  According to Tik Tok Shop, over 500,000 USA businesses made $15 billon in revenue for 2023.  That’s a lot of bananas.

Still, Tik Tok and these USA based shops all knew this was coming.  They should have been prepared for this  Now they’ll have to move to Instagram or Facebook for their livestreams.  Who know.  Maybe a better social media platform will pop up because of the ban.

Though from what I’ve read, when Trump is sworn into office tomorrow, he plans to give the CCP and Tik Top a 90-day extension for the CCP to sell off their share of the platform.  If China had already done this, the ban would never have happened.  But, they don’t want to give up their control over our country.

This also gives Trump leverage against the CCP for the tariffs  he wants to impose on all imports coming in from China’s  slave labor companies.   Hooray for that.

Don’t get me wrong.  I’ll miss Tik Tok too.  That’s where I found my wholesaler for crystals, and I just love all the animal videos.  And fishing too.  Still, national security is more important than keeping ourselves entertained.

And one finally thought.  Did you know that the CCP banned Tak Tok from their own citizens?  Why?  Because they understand the power behind Tik Tok and how it influences viewer’s ideas and opinions.

My Favorite and Least Favorite Books of 2024

Favourite Book GIFs - Find & Share on GIPHY

I didn’t read a lot of books in 2024.  Actually, only 7, but I thought I’d share my favorite and least favorite ones.  I plan to read more for 2025.  Aren’t you lucky? 🤣😂

First off, I seldom give 5 star reviews.  For a book to earn that rating, the story has to keep me on my toes, have surprise twists, and leaves me wanting more. The 7th, and so far, last book in the Burning Tree series fits that bill.

There were other books in the series that also received  5 stars from me.  Even though I had some issues with characters and editing, if the story grips me, I can overlook them and immerse myself into the story.  The series is also in Kindle Unlimited, so Yay for that, as well.

Click HERE to read my review.

My least favorite book of 224 was Changing Tide.  This is the first book in a series and I won’t be reading the rest.  The story had a great premise, but the execution and implausible events that happened just made me shake my head and sigh with frustration.  Yes, I had tears in my eyes at the end, but it didn’t excuse the major plot holes I saw.  Maybe you’d see the story differently.  It does have a lot of 5 star reviews.

I also read non-fiction books.  Of course, I only read one for 2024, but I gave it 5 stars and I think it’s this review that got me the invitation form Amazon to become a Vine Voice Reviewer.  I had 236 likes on my review.

The book is Government Gangsters by Kesh Patel.

I think every American, whether Democrat or Republican, or in-between, should read this book.  Kesh has uncovered the corruption that has infiltrated our government and why we MUST stop it before we lose our country.

On to more reading for 2025.

At seventeen, Will Dreycott is a superhero…in his dreams. And in yours.

Eight years ago, Will’s parents, shady dealers in ancient artifacts, disappeared on a jungle expedition. Will, the sole survivor, returned home with no memory of what happened, bringing a gift…and a curse.

The Lost Expedition

The Dream Rider Saga Book 3

The Thrilling Conclusion to the Multi-Award-Winning Trilogy

Will is the Dream Rider, the superhero who walks in our dreams but never in the streets of his own city. Case is his girlfriend, a survivor of those streets who hears voices warning her of danger. Fader, her brother, is very good at disappearing.

In The Hollow Boys, they defeated a body swapper and a witch to save the world. In The Crystal Key, they battled warring cults to protect an ancient artifact tied to Will’s affliction.

The Chakana. The Crystal Key. But the key to what? To finding answers, they hope, to the questions that rule their lives.

What caused their strange powers? And Will’s crippling agoraphobia? Can he be cured? Why did their parents travel to the jungles of Peru eight years ago? Are they still alive?

Behind every question is the Chakana. What is the mysterious relic? Why will people kill to possess it? What hold does it have on Will?

As creatures from Inca myths haunt the three friends, another attack on the Chakana threatens Will’s life. To save him and solve the mystery of the lost expedition, only one choice remains.

Return to Peru. With the Chakana.

There, they find friends and foes, both old and new. And behind it all, an unseen enemy moving them like pieces on a chessboard.

To win this deadly game, Will, Case, and Fader must master new powers to defeat the most dangerous adversary they’ve ever faced—a god.

At stake this time? Every life, every world, every universe. Everything.

January 2025 Free eBooks – 16th to 31st

Underconstruction GIFs - Find & Share on GIPHY

The early part of Summer, we were informed that the property owner of my apartment complex would be residing our buildings.  It’s been long overdue.  They were even having problems with getting people to rent since there was bare wood everywhere and it looked like a slum.  #slumlord

So, we were told that we had to clear off our patios and balconies when the time came.  I even threw out my flowers early because I didn’t want to bring them into my apartment.  Months passed, and they still hadn’t even started on my side of the complex.

Then, in October, we got the notice.  Yeah, So, into my apartment came 3 tables and all my planters.  Then, we waited some more.  Ugh.

Seems the buildings were in worse shape then the owner realized with rotten wood, so the workers had to replace a lot of under structure before putting up the new siding.  Still, here it is January and they are  just starting to work on our building, which is the last one.

Thankfully, winter has held off with the snow, but it has been bitter cold.  I do feel for the workers, but, man, I just want it done. Hurry up!!

My Book Review of Accidental Magic: A Snarky Paranormal Romance (Modern Magic Book 1)

MY REVIEW:

This book had been on my kindle since July 2022, and since I love magic and paranormal tales, I was looking forward to reading it.

When Sera’s grandmother dies, she inherits the house she had fond memories of, but also the one she ran away from as a teenager when life got too tough.  Now, she’s back and it turns out her life wasn’t what she thought. Nor, who she was told she was.

I enjoyed this story with it’s simmering romance, which didn’t stay simmering for long, and all the Fae and witchy stuff.  Sera’s character is relatable and believable along with her ex-boyfriend, Jake.  We should all have a Jake in our lives.

The fantastical world Sera finds herself a part of adds to the enjoyment.  We have an ex-husband who’s a real scumbag, and a Fae who wants to take over the world.  And the ‘good’ Fae aren’t really as cutesy as we imagine them.  They never do anything for free.  As we’re always told, magic comes with a price.

As time ticks down to the destruction of the town, secrets are revealed, and Sera has a new reality to deal with.  There was a lot of action and the story was paced just enough to keep my interest.

I did want to know what happened to Will, the ex-husband, but that wasn’t addressed in this book.  Maybe the next?  However,  it seems the second book will be about the Fae leader and Jake’s friend.  We shall see.

If you love paranormal romance, action and adventure, some snark and misadventure, you might enjoy this tale.  I give it 4 stars.

DESCRIPTION:

Magic is real, fairies are obnoxious, and everyone knew the truth but me…

Sera Allen needs a change. The family house she inherits is the perfect place for a fresh start, except for the sexy neighbor she’d ditched years before and the surprise fairies living across the street. Before long, she’s neck-deep in magic, Fae, and zombie bunnies, and her tenuous connection to her powers relies on the one man she wants to avoid.

Jake Thomas is happy in his mundane life. Magic is for other people. Until the girl who’d broken his heart moves back home and he finds himself drawn into the world of the Fae. She needs his help, but can he trust her to stick around this time when things get rough?

With a dark force threatening the town, they’ll have to face their pasts and overcome their distrust to have any chance at a future. Together they can make magic, but will it be enough?

Accidental Magic is a full-length paranormal romance novel featuring a feisty heroine with a sarcastic response to everything and a snarky hero who gives as good as he gets.
