When I first started playing video games, I got into the RPG Fantasy games. Which I love. Then, for some reason, I played a Mass Effect game. I think it was from watching other YouTubers and their game play and they kept talking about that series. It’s from the same company as the Dragon Age games which I was a huge fan of. So, I had to give it a try.
First off, it’s a shooter type game. Which means guns and such. With my fantasy games, I usually played a Rouge who attacked up close with blades. Now, I had actual weapons. Wow. Just Wow. I fell in love with the shooter ty pe games. However, they aren’t all equal.
There are first person shooters, which I am not a fan of. I don’t like seeing my hands in front of me. I think because I got used to playing the fantasy games, I was used to being able to see my character and party members. Mass Effect also has party members, but most shooter games are just you against the world.
But I do really enjoy the third person style of shooter games. And, usually, they also end up being platform games. Again, a style of game play I wasn’t used to. Needless to say, I’ve had a huge learning curve.
Though, I’ve figured out that most gamers on YouTube delete all their missteps and deaths. Which I hadn’t really thought about. I kept thinking it was me being horrible at these games. Which, because of my old brain, I probably am. Especially, the puzzles. 😂🤣
