Author Interview and Blog Tour With Bob Freeman
Bob, welcome to my blog. So, let’s get started. What inspired you to start writing?
I’m a husband and father by day, and an author, artist, and paranormal adventurer by night. I live on the outskirts of a tiny little rural town in northern Indiana, roughly two miles from the farm where I was born and raised.
I studied anthropology in college, with a focus on witchcraft, magic, and religion, and have been something of an amateur occult detective since 1983.
As for what inspired me to start writing, I think I was born to tell stories. It’s been a part of my make-up since I was a little boy. There was no ‘inspiration’ for it at all. It just has always been there.
When you’re not writing, what do you do to recharge?
My family is very close. Kim, Connor, and I enjoy hiking and yoga, and Connor and I are avid gamers — playing and designing tabletop rpgs in our spare time.
What (not who) would you take to a lonely island?
Well, you said lonely, not deserted, so I assume this isn’t a survival situation, so, of course, a book. Would be a great chance to revisit the Illuminatus Trilogy by Robert Shea and Robert Anton Wilson.
Who would you like to invite for dinner?
I’d like to gather a bunch of my online author pals, guys like William Meikle, Steven Shrewsbury, Josh Reynolds, and Greg Mitchell, just to name a few, and have a nice long chat over a traditional Scottish meal and drinks.

He lives in rural Indiana with his wife Kim and son Connor.
