Book covers.  They are the nemesis of an author.  It’s not easy translating a story into a book cover.  And there are so many designers.  Where to start?  Sadly, not all of them are that good.   For several years, I’ve been pecking away at my current WIP, Time Stones.  I thought if I had an amazing cover, it would inspire me to finish in a timelier fashion.  Above is a working cover, which isn’t impressing me at all.  It needs more sizzle, pizzazz. You know what I mean? My Cleo and Sammie.  What a pair.  Sam still gives me an issue about his harness, but he knows he can’t go outside without it.  Thank Goodness he’s not as smart as Cleo.  She walked backwards out of hers the first time I put it on her.  LOL.   Still, it’s taken her awhile to make it all the way outside.  She’d lay in the doorway with her paws hanging over the doorjamb.  It’s the birds that finally made her jump all the way out.  And, the other day, she almost got one.  Now, she’s on the hunt all the time.  😁

Norns is looking for Beta Readers to help us round out our stories and leave reviews on several platforms.  What is a Beta Reader, you ask?

From Wiki: A beta reader is usually a test reader of an unreleased work of literature or other writing, who gives feedback from the point of view of an average reader to the author.   A beta reader is not a professional and can therefore provide advice and comments in the opinions of an average reader. This feedback is used by the writer to fix remaining issues with plot, pacing, and consistency. The beta reader also serves as a sounding board to see if the book has had the intended emotional impact.

Since we have several authors who all write in different genres, you should find a story that fits what you love.  We currently have a new release coming for The Killer on the Heath by Karen J. Mossman and would really love to have some Beta Readers on our team.
