The past month I’ve had cataract surgery on both eyes. Not the funniest of times, but I can actually see so much better than before. Of course it didn’t help I had one on my right eye for almost 10 years. So my vision had gotten really diminished. I’m loving seeing all the colors again.

Due to the toxo scars on my eyes, I am very near-sighed. When my doc implanted the new lenses, they were for far distance. You should have seen me trying to get into my secure apartment door. I couldn’t read the keypad to input my code. LOL. I finally had to ring my neighbor to let me in. And, I woke him up. I felt so bad.

Then, when I took off my patch after the 2nd eye got done this week, I had double vision. It freaked me out! I tried texting my sister. You can imagine how that went. She did get my text but it didn’t make any sense to her. I felt like the girl in the back of the taxi in Fifth Element asking for help but Bruce Willis couldn’t understand. My eyes did finally align together. Whew!

Now, I’m using readers. Totally backwards from how I saw before. But, it is cool not to have to wear glasses for my distance. Anyway, have a great rest of February.
