While my sister and I were trekking across Ireland, we came upon an old monastery and cemetery. The newest headstones we found were from the 1970’s. And some of the really old ones, over a hundred years old, were still maintained by family members. Some of the headstones had been replaced with newer ones. The reverence for family and history are very strong in Ireland. Those are feelings we don’t have in America. We ae to new of a country. Our ancestral history was left behind once our forbearers left their home country. So sad, really.
On a different note, after years of putting all their ebooks free, my old publisher has finally seen the light and is now discounting to 0.99 cents vs the free. We don’t make money from free books. That’s one of the reasons I left them before. We need readers who are willing to pay for the hard work and cost of editing, book covers, and marketing that we do. Anyway, I’ll get off my crate. Enjoy your first part of May and I hope you discover some new authors.
